TOP 5 RESPONSIBILITIES
- Play a key role in the design and development of new products
- Participate in research on trends and innovations in the world of design
- Propose innovative ideas to stand out from the competition
- Explore in the ideation phase through sketches and mock-ups
- Perform validation of concepts and products in physical or 3D form
- Ensure better upstream feasibility of concepts
- Validate concepts through prototypes and mock-ups
- Take part in the evaluation of samples and final products
- Participate in the technical development of complete, functional lighting fixtures
- Detailed modeling and drawing of parts and assemblies
- Find technical and functional solutions
- Adapt product design to cost, quality, supplier capacity and process constraints
- Communicate with internal teams and manufacturers
- Contribute to the documentation and management of technical data
- Manage and organize product specification databases.
- Ensure the updating of technical documents and the transmission of information.
- Generate technical data sheets for products and their specifications.
- Develop content to support technical communication
- Produce technical content, renderings and illustrations for catalogs and website
- Contribute to the development of packaging, instruction sheets and labels
- Design displays to showcase our products
QUALITIES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Training in Industrial Design
- Good knowledge of 3D drawing software Solidworks;
- Good knowledge of Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.);
- Ability to work with materials such as metal, plastic and wood;
- Good creative ability in the search for solutions;
- Ability and interest in working as part of a team;
- Excellent sense of organization and priorities;
- Good writing and communication skills in French and English;
- Basic knowledge of lighting will be considered an asset
