DALS Lighting Inc. is the leader in LED accent lighting products in Canada. In full expansion, we are looking for a candidate to join the company’s engineering and research & development team. This person will play a key role in the development of our innovative and functional product range.

Reporting to the Product and Innovation Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

JOB SUMMARY

• Testing and validation
  • Handle product quality control, product and sample testing.
  • Inspect, test and evaluate electrical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure high-quality products that meet industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in electrical and electronic engineering to maintain DALS’ leadership position in the lighting industry.

• Product Certification Management
  • Supervise and coordinate product certification projects in collaboration with regulatory organizations.
  • Ensure product compliance with international and local standards (UL, CSA, CE, etc.).
  • Implement processes to facilitate obtaining and maintaining necessary certifications.

• Technical Support and Interdepartmental Collaboration
  • Support the customer service team in resolving complex technical issues.
  • Work closely with the product development department to provide ongoing training in electrical and electronic matters.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and R&D teams to anticipate technological needs and respond to customer requests.

• Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Design and develop new electronic technologies for innovative LED lighting products.
  • Identify and implement improvements to optimize product design, manufacturing and performance.
  • Monitor technological trends and propose innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• College diploma (DEC) in electronics, Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years in an industrial environment, ideally in lighting or electronics
• Knowledge of certification standards (UL, CSA, CE, etc.)
• Mechanical design skills an asset
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD would be an asset
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
• Organizational skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Passion for innovation and attention to detail
