Buyer & Logistics Coordinator

THE ROLE

Do you enjoy working with numbers, analyzing data, and delivering high-quality work? Are you known for your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and team spirit? DALS Lighting is offering an exciting opportunity with the opening of a new Logistics Coordinator position.

In this role, you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure strong product control, minimize backorders, and provide the Customer Experience team with accurate and realistic lead times for upcoming shipments.

You will also play a key role in sales analysis and import logistics management (shipping, documentation, customs). If you are energetic, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this position is for you.

 

WHAT ARE THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?

  • Validate quantities, units, and pricing of goods to support purchase order processing
  • Collaborate with the Order Entry team within the Customer Experience department to respond to inquiries related to availability, delays, and lead times
  • Organize and prepare documentation for special shipping requests
  • Keep system data up to date regarding HS Codes and customs duties/taxes
  • Ensure import documentation is sent to brokers and properly archived for quick access when needed
  • Book transportation and ensure all required documents are complete for customs clearance
  • Enter goods receipt information into the system
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels; produce inventory and forecasting reports
  • Analyze sales data to support purchase orders with overseas suppliers

 

WHO IS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE?

  • 2 years of experience in purchasing and/or logistics
  • Exceptionally comfortable with Microsoft Excel and working with data
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and precise
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Analytical mindset and solution-oriented
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?

After 6 months…

You are aware of our products and can proactively make purchase orders based on sales data and reports. Feel comfortable handling special transportation of our goods.

After 12 months…

With the help of the Purchasing Manager, you can plan a successful launch, minimize penalties, and help maintain our brand promise to ship 95% of our orders on the same day and complete, while maintaining a reasonable amount of inventory (not too much, not too little).
