THE ROLE

DALS Lighting is currently offering an excellent career opportunity for an Inventory and Logistic Agent position. We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible to track international shipments and ensures proper documentation for received goods. The candidate will monitor the inventory per warehouse and be responsible for stock movements between our different sites. Communication with multiple departments is part of the daily routine. The candidate must be an energetic individual who has a passion for numbers, accuracy, and demonstrates our core values in performing daily tasks. Our company culture is very important for us.

 

TOP JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with our transport and customs broker to ensure the timely receiving of vendor goods, Monitor and report on shipment timelines (Steps, tracking, issues).  receiving and shipping information, Update accounting system with the receiving and shipping information, in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with Customer Service team to resolve customer questions and/or issues regarding delays and/or lead times related to goods in transit.

  • Coordinate Stock movement between our warehouses and maintain associated documentation.

  • Understand and learn products in stock; Support in the creation of new items within our accounting system. Consult with the Supply chain and Operations Manager to maintain the inventory/product codes/information in the system.

  • Responsible for processing and entering purchase orders for warehouse and office supplies by reviewing the quantity, units, and prices of goods.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
– By 6 months…
  • You are aware of our customer needs and company goals and are able to independently prepare paperwork for shipments and receivings with an understanding of the products enclosed.
– By 12 months…
  • With the help of your manager, you can effectively maintain proper control of our inventory and help maintain our brand promise to ship 90% of our orders on the same day, while maintaining a reasonable amount of inventory (not too much, not too little).

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistic coordination role
  • Professional Degree in logistics or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Bilingual, written and spoken
  • Experienced with ERP systems (an asset).
